TB testing

We understand the importance of bovine tuberculosis (TB) testing in maintaining herd health and preventing the spread of this infectious disease in compliance with national regulations. Our experienced team are also cognisant of the work involved in a herd test for busy farmers, and aim to work with you to make this as efficient and smooth a process as possible.

Diagnostic services

When further diagnostic testing is required we offer some field side and in house diagnostic services such as calf scour tests, urine testing for ketosis, etc.

Automated faecal egg counter this is the future of FEC testing. It is scientifically validated test. It has higher sensitivity and accuracy compared to other Fecal Analysis methods. This means it will provide accurate and consistent results to more effectively and efficiently monitor the parasite burden in your livestock, and the efficacy of your worming regime. This help prevent resistance to wormers which is a growing concern in recent years.
Bloodwork: We have a state of the art haematology and biochemistry machine which can enable same day results, giving us the information we need to diagnose a complex or serious case.

Herd Health

Maintaining the health and productivity of your herd is our top priority. Our veterinarians work closely with farmers to develop customised herd health management plans. These plans include regular herd health visits, vaccinations, parasite control, nutrition assessment, and disease prevention strategies. By focusing on proactive and preventive care, we strive to optimise the overall well-being and performance of your herd, and increase profitability. We are TASAH trained to carry out Animal Health Ireland parasite and Johnes control programmes, and cell check dry cow consults .

Reproductive Services

We offer a comprehensive range of reproductive services to support your breeding program and maximise the reproductive potential of your farm animals. Our skilled veterinarians provide fertility assessments and ultrasound scanning to evaluate the reproductive health of your cows.

Scanning: We have goggle ultrasound scanners to efficiently scan your cows for fertility issues, cycle monitoring or pregnancy diagnosis and staging. No cumbersome leads and a wealth of experience ensures these jobs can be done in an expert and efficient manner.
Synchronisation protocols: We advise on the best ways to synchronise your cows as heifers for AI to achieve the bet possible conception rates.
Calvings: We assist with calving difficulties where our vets have a wealth of experience.
Bull fertility testing: Our vets have done further training and have all the equipment and expertise needed to perform fertility tests and to certify your bull’s fertility, or diagnose any potential causes of infertility.
